Biography

April B. Messer joined the staff of Bailey & Thomas in February 2026 as David W. Bailey, Jr.'s Executive Assistant.

Having started her career as a legal assistant at the young age of nineteen years old, April has amassed a wealth of knowledge and practical experience that continues to aid her career. While she has ventured into other fields of law over the course of her professional journey, estate law has proved to be her favorite.

After a brief sabbatical from legal work, during which she graduated from UNCG and worked alongside her family in the corporate world, April is now excited to return to the legal realm, viewing it as a career homecoming.

In her role as Executive Assistant, April's precision to detail, dedication, and compassion for clients frequently earn her praise from the public. Her quiet confidence and complete capability for managing clients' affairs make her stand out as an exemplary employee.

Outside of the office, April enjoys traveling and appreciates quiet moments with a good book. Above all else, though, she cherishes time spent with her family, especially her husband and children.
