Biography
Jeanna S. Shelton joined the firm's Estate Planning and Estate Administration departments in January 2026, bringing with her a decade of experience in Will, Trust, and Probate matters of varying complexity.
Jeanna experienced the importance of proper estate planning and legal guidance through the probate process at a young age, having lost her father while in high school. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of South Florida in 2011 with a degree in Psychology, Jeanna worked as a paralegal for the attorney who administered her father's estate. This experience proved transformative, as she discovered her passion for providing legal aid and compassion to grieving families.
In 2013, Jeanna relocated to Winston-Salem to attend Wake Forest School of Law, earning her Juris Doctor in 2016. After spending several years in the Charlotte area practicing in a boutique Estate Planning and Administration firm, she has returned to the Triad to establish roots in the Winston-Salem community, close to family.
Bailey & Thomas is thrilled to have Jeanna join the team and are impressed with her skills, knowledge, and passion for her career. She has a talent for providing her clients with clarity and peace of mind in a field that can, at times, feel overwhelming and complex.
Outside of the office, Jeanna loves spending time with her husband, Luke, and her two children, Isla and Ian. Her hobbies include reading, crafting, baking, spending time in nature, and engaging in activities with her church.
